Nadiyah
Brown

Nadiyah Brown is a Bermudian artist based in Canada. Nadiyah's practice focuses on capturing photographic narratives of the  Black lived experience in  Bermuda and the Caribbean. As a photo-based artist and archivist, Nadiyah weaves themes of nostalgia and joy into her work.

Her dedication to documenting and archiving visual narratives ensures that the stories of the past are not only remembered but also passed down to future generations. In doing so, she contributes to the ongoing dialogue surrounding heritage, identity, and the evolving nature of the black experience.

Her work was exhibited in the Bermuda Biennial 2024 at the Bermuda National Gallery, themed "Places, Presence & Poetics". In 2023, exhibited in the Charman Prize Show where she was awarded the prize for Use of Material.
